Fair Trade

On Thursday 19 November 2015 we launched the campaign for Selby to gain Fairtrade town status. The campaign was launched as part of our shop's grand open evening and was attended by Linda McAavan MEP and the children of Selby's Fairtrade school, Cawood Primary.

With the help of the York Fair Trade Forum and Holme Valley Fairtrade, an exhibition featured signed Fairtrade cotton bags, leaflets and photos of successful local campaigns, as well as posters explaining the benefits of fair trade. We hope to inspire Selby residents to back the campaign and the children of Cawood school have taken on the mantle of campaigning within the local area.
